Hey guys, welcome to a new series here in the Ganiming community! My name is Benjamin, I am one of the co-founders of Ganiming and I have to be honest here with you – I DO NOT like anime (I guess I’m your resident anime hater lol). I watched Yu-Gi-Oh! as a kid and even loved it, but I have never experienced anything like it in my entire 24 years of life. I have tried to get into it, but I have never gotten past the first 2 episodes of a series.
You’re probably asking yourself, ”Why would someone who hates anime start a blog about anime?”. The answer is quite simple. Many of my close friends watch anime (one of them even started this blog with me) and I never really understood what was so appealing about it. And so, one night during a round of League of Legends, an idea was born. We found an interesting way to help me understand the magic behind anime, and we are going to share it with all of you!
I will explore the world of anime with the help of recommendations from my friends – and ALL OF YOU! I will do my best to watch at least one season of an anime in a week and review it as in-depth as possible from the perspective of someone who has absolutely ZERO knowledge of anime.
How will you rank the anime series?
Every time I finish a season of an anime, I will write a review on the Ganiming website, so make sure you stay tuned and do not miss it! At the end of a review, I will also rate the anime on a scale of 0-10 and post the ranking on the leaderboard, which you can find below.
I will write the reviews season by season and rarely watch multiple seasons of the same anime in a row. But don’t worry, if I started watching something else after the first season of your favorite anime, it does not mean I will not come back to it! I’m just trying to cover as much different content as possible in the limited time I have. I’ll also update my rankings every time I see the next season of an anime I have already reviewed.
I truly hope my journey will help anyone else who might feel confused about why anime is as popular as it is. So if you’re completely new in the world of anime, or if you’re a seasoned veteran; I hope you will have a good time here! Hopefully, I don’t piss you off with my reviews of your favorite animes! Only time will tell if I will stay known as an anime hater 😉
